“Be my Clementine” Cocktail Recipe

This drink was inspired by Steve’s “Orange Ginger with JapaneseMizunara Oak Cask Whiskey” Preserve, and an egg white cocktail I once tried that was made with mashed clementines.

The drink is creamy and full of bright citrus with a really nice sweet almond side note. Ginger bite to finish ☺ .


For this recipe you will need:
1 teaspoon of Akaka Falls Farm Orange Ginger Japanese Mizunara Whiskey Preserve
.5 ounce of Amaretto Liqueur or Orgeat Syrup
3 ounces of gin (a citrus forward gin like Bombay is better for this recipe than a juniper forward gin like Tanqueray)
6 slices of clementines or “cuties” work nicely as well
.5 ounce of fresh lemon juice
1 egg white
Step 1. Add the clementines to a shaker and muddle.
Step 2. Add all of the remaining ingredients to a shaker with NO ICE.
Step 3. DRY shake for 20-30 seconds.
Step 4. Add a few ice cubes to the shaker and continue to shake for another 20-30 seconds.
Step 5. Double strain into a rocks glass with, or without fresh ice.
Step 4. Garnish with clementines and serve”
