Fruit Nut Chili with Passion Fruit Hawaiian Pepper Smoked Pineapple Preserve Recipe

1 1⁄2 lbs. organic ground turkey
2 cups chopped onion
3 medium chopped red, yellow or orange peppers
3 cloves garlic, minced
30 oz tomatoes, chopped
15 oz tomato sauce
14 oz organic chicken bouillon
2 tablespoons Akaka Falls Farm Passion Fruit Hawaiian Pepper Smoked Pineapple Preserve.
2 tablespoons chili powder
1/2 to 1 cup chopped pineapple
1 cup kernel corn (optional)
1 tablespoon Curry powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tbsp. unsweetened, cocoa powder
15 oz kidney, black, chili, or pinto beans, cooked
1⁄3 cup slivered almonds
Additional chopped peppers, diced green chilies and or chili powder to taste


chopped pineapple, raisins, grated cheddar cheese, and sour cream or plain yogurt (optional) For vegetarians, omit the turkey and add additional vegetables such as sautéd mushrooms and carrots.


Sauté in 2 tablespoons olive oil, the ground turkey, and onions. Add the bell peppers and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the garlic. Add the tomatoes, sauce, chili peppers, corn, bouillon, pineapple, and Akaka Falls Passion Fruit
Hawaiian Pepper Smoked Pineapple Preserve and Cocoa powder, curry and spices. Bring to a low boil, reduce heat, and cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Add kidney beans and almonds and adjust spices. Season to taste with more peppers. Place into bowls, and garnish with additional toppings as desired.
