“Jaboticaba & Cranberry Holiday Mule” Recipe

 

With thanksgiving right around the corner this bright, refreshing, cranberry and Jaboticaba mule is perfect to accompany your turkey dinner or to just sip at the beach. Jaboticaba is a Brazilian fruit with high antioxidant and inflammatory traits. It boosts your immunity, promotes healthy skin, promotes digestive health, prevents cardiovascular disease, reduces the affects of asthma, and is most well known for its therapeutic potential against cancer. We then add 100% cranberry juice which has its own long list of benefits as well. Lime, vodka and ginger beer finish this cocktail making it a spin on the classic “Moscow mule” with a holiday twist.

For this cocktail you will need:

1 tablespoon Akaka Falls Farm Jaboticaba Preserve
.5 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce fresh 100% cranberry juice
2 ounce of vodka (we used pau vodka to support local)
1/2 cup ice
Ginger beer to top it off
Mint to garnish

Step 1. Add the Jaboticaba jam, cranberry juice, lime, and vodka to a
shaker with ice.

Step 2. Shake until well blended

Step 3. Poor into a glass of your choosing, and top with ginger beer until the glass is full.

Step 4. Garnish with a mint spring and enjoy!
