Passion Fruit Jalapeño Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

4.5 grams yeast
1 1⁄3 cup lukewarm water
1⁄2 tablespoon salt
2 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
1⁄3-1⁄2 cup Steve’s Akaka Falls Farm Passion Fruit Jalapeno Jam

Preparation:

  1. Combine the yeast and warm water in a medium bowl.
  2. Combine the flour and salt in a stand mixer bowl with the hook attachment.
  3. Add the yeast and water mixture to the flour mixture.
  4. Let it mix on medium to medium- high speed until the sides of the bowl are clean.
  5. Cover and let rise for 1 hour. Punch down, and let rise for 1 hour more.
  6. Transfer dough onto a floured surface and shape slightly by folding in the corners.
  7. Roll dough into a rough 12-inch x 18-inch rectangle.
  8. Spread jam evenly on top.
  9. Roll up into a log, starting on the long side.
  10. Cut the roll in half the long way, leaving it intact at the top about 1 1⁄2 inches.
  11. Twist the two halves together, and place them into a greased bundt pan or loaf pan.
  12. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes.
  13. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and bake the bread for 45 minutes.
  14. Let cool before un-molding and slicing.
