Protein Shake with Poi Coconut Butter and Lemon Ginger

This adds exciting flavors and ingredients, to a healthy nutritious protein shake.

These can be frozen in mason jars and will retain all the nutritional value. Simply thaw in the refrigerator overnight and you’re all set for a fast convenient protein drink.

Ingredients: Serves 6

4 cups coconut water
Six heaping tablespoons of organic protein powder
2 tablespoons almond, cashew, or pumpkin seed butter
Three heaping tablespoons of organic plain Greek yogurt
One large handful of organic frozen or fresh fruit. I used pineapple and papaya in addition to mixed berries.
One banana
4 heaping tablespoons Akaka Falls Farm Poi Coconut Butter
3 heaping tablespoons Akaka Falls Farm Lemon Ginger Preserve
Powdered bee pollen (optional)
1⁄2 cup Tart cherry juice, or açai juice (optional)

Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients in a blender and add more liquid to your desired consistency.

Tips:

You may add extra ingredients such as spinach/kale or powders, such as beet, greens moringa, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, etc. Have fun with it and be creative and healthy.
